Our Mission & Vision

Mission Statement:
Our mission is to show the love of Jesus Christ to everyone we meet,
whether in our church or without, whether we agree with them or not, whether they return our love or not,
so that we might serve our community and do all we can to share the Good News, by God’s grace and strength.

Leadership Team:

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

Carolyn Nye, Preschool Director

Caroline oversees the daily operations of the Good Shepherd Preschool. She has a degree in elementary education from Grace College in Winona Lake, and her masters from St. Francis University in Fort Wayne. A life-long member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, she joined the preschool staff in the fall of 2009 after retiring from Pierceton Community School district where she was a teacher for 41 years. Caroline lives in Warsaw with her dog and two birds. The most rewarding aspect as the director is observing the academic, social, physical, and spiritual growth of each preschool child.

What we believe:

Jesus Christ, the living Word, became flesh through His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and His virgin birth. He who is true God became true man united in one person forever. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. On the third day He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Mediator. The Holy Spirit has come to glorify Christ and to apply the saving work of Christ to our hearts. He convicts us of sin and draws us to the   Savior. By dwelling in our hearts, He gives us new life, empowers and imparts gifts to us for service. He instructs, guides us into all truth, and seals us for the day of redemption.
